Arana is the first Maori artist to join the House of Koorang.

Arana is a full-blood Maori man from the region of Waikato of the north island of New Zealand. Arana was raised with the learning of his tribal laws, customs and protocols.Settling in NSW Arana studied Aboriginal art at TAFE and has been well accepted by local Aboriginal communities.

Arana's artwork of Maori traditional art is awe inspiring, however his paintings created using a blend of tribal Maori and Aboriginal images and techniques are unforgettably beautiful and spiritual. A permanent visual bonding of the legends of Maori Tonga and the Dreamtime of the Aboriginal culture.
